Doug Seckinger is a strategic communications leader with over 15 years of experience catalyzing social impact through storytelling and innovative partnerships. Throughout his career, Doug has developed and executed comprehensive partnerships and communications plans that amplify the missions of leading philanthropic organizations. His approach combines creative brand and content development with strategic media and partnership campaigns. His work elevates how organizations create meaningful change and drives increased awareness and engagement across diverse audiences.

Doug is passionate about the field of mental health, having earned a degree in counseling psychology, and early in his career as a Marriage and Family intern (MFTi) he pioneered innovative homeless outreach case management and launched a successful somatic psychotherapy private practice in the Bay Area. 

At Mindful Philanthropy, Doug is leveraging his unique background in philanthropy, mental health, and strategic communications to amplify the critical opportunity at hand for funders to align and advance mental health funding and increase well-being across diverse communities. 

Doug has an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, an MA in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS), and a BA in Philosophy from the University of Notre Dame.
