Ruth Hampden

Associate Director of Community Engagement & Operations

Ruth Hampden serves as Associate Director of Community Engagement & Operations at Mindful Philanthropy, where she works to build and strengthen community connections for funders to advance mental health and well-being. She leads initiatives to cultivate a vibrant, collaborative online community while ensuring the systems supporting these relationships operate seamlessly and effectively.

With nearly a decade of experience in nonprofits and credit unions bridging community engagement and user experience, Ruth has designed and implemented strategies that make both in-person and online spaces more intuitive, accessible, and impactful. Her work has consistently centered on expanding programming, increasing participation, and making it easier for people to connect with the resources and relationships they need to thrive.

Ruth holds a B.A. in Mathematics from Winthrop University. Guided by a deep passion for justice, a steadfast belief in the power of community, and a personal understanding of how life-changing mental health care can be, she is committed to creating a more connected world where everyone has what they need to flourish.
