Alison Malmon is the Founder and Executive Director of Active Minds, the nation’s largest nonprofit mobilizing youth and young adults to lead a transformative movement in mental health.
Alison formed the organization in 2003 as a 21-year-old, following the suicide of her brother and only sibling, Brian. Since then, Active Minds has grown into the country’s leading mental health organization for youth, with a vibrant network of chapters and award-winning programs at more than 1,000 colleges and universities, K12 schools, workplaces, and communities in all fifty states nationwide.
Alison is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and her many accolades include being named Top Global Emerging Social Innovator by American Express, Top Female CEO by Smart CEO Magazine, and a Person You Should Know on CNN. She’s been profiled in stories in The New York Times, Forbes, The Washington Post, Inside Higher Ed, and Glamour Magazine among others.
