  • Accelerate is a dynamic 2-day convening tailored for philanthropic audiences, including program officers, grantmaking professionals, individual philanthropists, and institutional funders from across the sector. Designed to advance mental health and well-being in communities through bold, collaborative approaches, the event will bring together diverse voices, perspectives, and sectors to explore innovative strategies and actionable solutions for the well-being of communities.

    Attendees will engage in thought-provoking discussions, interactive experiences, and networking opportunities while exploring replicable and actionable solutions for well-being across sectors.

  • The program will explore five priority areas critical to supporting mental health while examining intersections across a range of philanthropic focus areas, such as education, poverty, justice, and more. This approach will guide explorations of mental health challenges and opportunities across diverse sectors. The core mental health priorities are highlighted in our Strategic Roadmap report and include: Workforce, Community, Youth and their support systems, Crisis response, and Implementing what works. These priorities will be complemented by additional exploration of novel innovations in the space. 

  • Mindful Philanthropy maintains a strict non-solicitation policy for all of our events. Our goal is to create a positive, welcoming, and distraction-free environment for all to participate and fully engage. We do not allow solicitation of any kind during Accelerate including requesting funding for nonprofit or for-profit ventures.

  • Accelerate will be held April 8 – 10, 2025, at 1440 Multiversity in Scotts Valley, California (near the Bay Area). The event begins at 3 PM on April 8 and concludes mid-day on April 10, providing two days of inspiring sessions and opportunities for collaboration.

    • Please note that onsite registration will be open from 1:30 PM until the beginning of the program at 3 PM on Tuesday, April 8.

    • Extended stays before or after April 8 - 10 are not available in the all-inclusive 1440 Multiversity registration. If you would like to extend your stay, please contact us at info@mindfulphilanthropy.org for offsite accommodation recommendations. 

  • The event will feature a diverse lineup of speakers and facilitators, including:

    • Experts in mental health and philanthropy.

    • Leaders from sectors like education, social justice, workforce development, and climate.

    • Lived experience advocates who bring valuable community-based insights.

    • Diverse leaders sharing perspectives on holistic approaches to social change.

    • Innovators from venture capital, family offices, and corporate philanthropy highlighting emerging philanthropic investment approaches. 

    Individual speakers will be announced in future invitations. The program will integrate a variety of voices and perspectives to inspire attendees with actionable strategies and systems-level thinking.

  • Accelerate combines thought-provoking sessions with wellness-focused activities to create a truly holistic experience. Highlights include:

    • Sessions that explore the intersections of mental health with philanthropic focus areas like education, poverty, justice, and more.

    • Wellness activities, such as forest bathing, to promote personal reflection and connection.

    • Networking opportunities, including a dedicated “white space” on the second day for informal collaboration and connection.

  • In addition to engaging discussions and breakout sessions, the schedule includes:

    • Opportunities to connect with peers during structured and informal networking sessions.

    • Outdoor experiences designed to inspire reflection and connection to nature.

    • 1440s signature daily wellness classes 

    • Meditation and mindfulness sessions

  • 1440 Multiversity provides accommodation and meals for immersive learning experiences like Accelerate 2025. However, 1440 is not a hotel and so is only able to accommodate Accelerate guests for the duration of the event.

  • In addition to the program, registration fees includes accommodation, fresh seasonal meals, wellness and fitness activities, and access to 1440’s serene 75-acre campus.

  • Please note that 1440 operates as a convening venue rather than a traditional hotel. All guests, including spouses and partners, must be registered in advance. There is an additional fee of $498.40 per extra guest per room for the entire stay. This is inclusive of taxes, seasonal meals, and fitness/wellness classes.
