Glen Comiso

Human Flourishing Program, Harvard University

Glen Comiso is the Executive Director of the Human Flourishing Program at Harvard University, where he oversees the Program’s strategic vision, organizational leadership, impact initiatives, external engagement, and operational management. The Human Flourishing Program is a cross-disciplinary research center dedicated to studying and promoting human flourishing worldwide. The Program is a pioneer in the science and measurement of flourishing, leading major initiatives such as the Global Flourishing Study, conducting research on topics such as forgiveness, suffering, and love, and advancing practice-oriented projects in areas such as health, education, government, and workplaces.

Mr. Comiso has extensive experience developing organizations, policies, and programs at the intersection of academia, government, and industry. Prior to joining Harvard, he served in the president’s office at MIT in various roles, including Chief of Staff and Senior Director for Institute Affairs. His background also includes strategy consulting at the Boston Consulting Group, leadership of the Massachusetts Life Sciences Collaborative, and oversight of the Mayor’s Economic Initiatives Group and the Life Tech Boston initiative for the City of Boston. He began his career as an electrical engineer at Motorola.

Mr. Comiso holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley. He lives in Quincy, Massachusetts with his wife and three teenage children. He volunteers as a trustee of Boston Trinity Academy, city lead of FaithTech Boston, and a leader in his church.
