Nathan Romano

Nathan Paul Romano is the Managing Partner of Collaborative Capital Advisors (CCA), a boutique advisory firm focused on financial services. In addition, he is a partner at Evio VC, an early-stage venture capital firm building the future of mental healthcare and wellness. ⁠Nathan is also a Senior Advisor to Squire Patton Boggs, a leading global law firm building the first comprehensive platform designed to help asset managers create value in regulated or politically sensitive sectors. He is a proven leader, business builder, and non-profit champion, recognized for his results-oriented approach, commitment to excellence, and positive-sum mindset.

Professional Experience

Prior to founding CCA, Nathan held several leadership positions:

  • President of Atalaya Capital Management, a $10B+ alternative asset management firm that was acquired by Blue Owl Capital (NYSE: OWL). He led strategy, capital formation, product development, and capital markets.

  • President and Chief Operating Officer at York Capital Management, a $25B+ alternative investment firm, where he was responsible for all non-investing activities.

  • Senior leadership roles at Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse, and Bear Stearns. As one of the first Senior Relationship Managers, he played a key role in transforming client coverage strategies on Wall Street, leading to significant revenue and profitability growth.

  • Consultant at Bain & Company, focusing on private equity.

Education

Nathan earned his MBA with honors from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Southern California, where he majored in finance and entrepreneurship. While at USC, Nathan was a walk-on for the varsity tennis team for two years where he never lettered but he carried a mean water bottle.

Non-Profit and Board Involvement

Nathan has been deeply involved in the mental health community. He joined the board of NAMI-NYC in 2006 and now serves as its President Emeritus. He is also a board member of The Goodness Web, The Museum of the City of New York, the Investment Management division of UJA, and the Compassionate Leadership in Finance program at the Garrison Institute. From 2016 to 2021, he served on the board of the Managed Funds Association.

His experience across asset management, investment banking, and non-profit leadership highlights his dedication to both financial innovation and social impact.
