Founder, Ortus Foundation | Partner, Bridge Builders Collaborative
Sabrina Gracias is the founder of Ortus Foundation, a private foundation focused on prevention, transformational impact, and systemic models of change for the mental health crisis among teens and young adults. Its mission is to collaborate with schools and community-based healthcare systems to provide stronger mental health services, and to advance research on adolescent brain development. In conjunction with her foundation’s mission, Sabrina is an early-stage investor in transformational technologies and companies that elevate the mental health space, providing capital to support that best and most innovative companies that align healing, responsibility, and profitability.
Sabrina is a Partner at Bridge Builders Collaborative, which focuses on investing in start-up companies that empower mental health, consciousness, and spirituality. She serves on the national Board of Trustees for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, a member of Clinton Global Initiative’s Mental Health Action Coalition, the Community Prevention Coalition of Teton County (WY) and its Suicide Prevention Subcommittee, the Wyoming Alliance for Suicide Prevention, and the Utah School Mental Health Collaborative. In addition, Sabrina is a board member of Erikson Institute, Vice Chair, Executive Committee, and board member for the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital (Chicago), a Regents Board Member at Georgetown University, a member of CEO (formed by YPO), a member of DC Finance Family Office Circle (New York) and a volunteer member of US Senator Cory Booker’s Finance Committee.
Prior to starting Ortus Foundation, she raised capital for Valor Equity Partners, an operationally active private equity firm focused on expansion and growth investments. Prior to joining Valor Equity Partners, she was Regional Director at Frank Russell Company and a Principal at State Street Global Advisors in Institutional Sales, responsible for marketing alternative and active asset class strategies to endowments, foundations, and pension plans. Sabrina has a B.A in Marketing from Georgetown University, a C.E. in Finance from Oxford University, England, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Outside of her work, Sabrina is an avid downhill skier, contemporary art collector and adventure traveler. Her greatest love, however, are her children.
